Seriously? I mean seriously? How is it possible for a less than 6 week old baby to look THIS jaw-dropping gorgeous. I can’t get enough of these pictures. I mean it. Aubrey was a complete joy to work with (as if she had a choice in the matter, though). I have seen in two successive newborn sessions that the sound of my camera shutter is extremely fascinating to these little ones. I was nearly propositioned by one set of parents to come and “shoot” again, say at around 3am?? 🙂 Julie and Eric, you guys have a heart breaker on your hands… I wish you blessings and the best for the years to come with this little princess.

Matt and Christi are dear friends from church… You may remember Christi’s ridiculously hot preggo pics several weeks back (yup, she’s the one in the header on this blog). Well, their little bundle of joy has arrived and here he is! Also, I just had to include some details shots of his nursery… Christi really outdid herself here. Holy cow! As for Camden…. the kiddo has a thing for cameras. Whenever I would start shooting continuously, he would immediately stop crying and follow the sound of my camera clicking. It was so cute. I think Matt and Christi were seriously considering dropping some serious $$ and hiring me and my camera for night duty. 🙂

Sweet little Miss Maryn is one year old now! I got to spend some time one morning with her family to celebrate. Phoenix’s new metro system, the Light Rail, recently opened so we thought it would be fun to go shoot on and off the trains.

Kai and Adelaide (my daughter) are best buds on the block… and they are so cute and affectionate together. Here is the Little Casanova kissing his sister’s hand. 🙂

UPDATE: You can view Kathy and Mike’s slideshow HERE.

No, this is not a political post. The stars I am referring to are the following 4 people (and canine): Kathy, Mike, Owen and Noah. And the stripes are just, well, you will just have see for yourself. 🙂 What a fun family and fun shoot this was! Noah, the dog, and Owen, the baby, competitively competed for “best of show” and I have to say they tied. 🙂 What can I say? I am a sucker for both! I mean come on – look at them!!!!

A recent belly shoot is coming soon as well!

just so you can get even more of a feel of my style when it comes to kiddo and baby portraits (aka natural, free, fun, casual, fun, easy, fun 🙂 … here are a few snapshots of my own lifetime portrait subjects. 🙂

Running around in the Texas morning sun and humidity (I couldn’t get enough of her curly hair…. here in Phoenix it is pretty straight):

And the youngest one… the ones of her in the white hat were taken outside… This is the same outfit I put my older daughter in when she was 5 months… if you want to see some comparison pictures, check out my personal blog HERE. (beware of lots and lots of the same pictures 🙂

Meet Miss M….. isn’t she simply delicious?? We hit the jackpot with the light and *somewhat* cooler weather this evening, but really folks this little 6 month old would have looked cute in a pitch black room. I love the variety of shots we got… bright and fun, sunny and cheery, deep and moody, and even all-natural. 🙂 Miss M is part Navajo and so those last shots of her on the blanket with nothing but the desert around her just ooze of rich heritage and history in my opinion. And the ones with the bonnet? That outfit is actually Miss M’s mother’s baptismal outfit…. I wanted to try out some new processing techniques and when I saw the one of M in her baptism outfit I just pictured an old black and white grainy photograph stuck inside an old leather photo album from a century ago…

The bright and cheery ones:

The moody ones:

And the all-natural ones:

Baby Natalie

** Updated**

* For more adorable pictures of Natalie, check out her slideshow HERE. *

Yesterday, I was blessed to be able to photograph beautiful baby Natalie. Her mom and I go way back… middle and high school friends, and world travel partners. It was so fun to be able to reconnect in this way and see her little doll. Here is a sneak peek of just a few black and whites from the session. Enjoy!
